Come and join us

Why join?

Day trips, pub trips, brewery trips, foreign trips, festivals, pub visits, London trips (did we mention brewery trips?). It’s not just all dancing and singing, but we do that as well. If you like the idea of all this, come and have a go. We will teach you the dancing – the drinking and singing will be up to you.

We are always keen to welcome new members.

You do not need to possess any particular skill. The minimum requirement is two feet. One left and one right is preferable but not essential. Old, young or in-between. We will teach you everything you need to know. Oh, and you have to be male.

The current practice venue is the Irish Centre, 77 Elm Grove, Southsea PO5 1JF. (Just press the button at the front door, pull the door when the buzzer sounds and walk in and ask for the Morris Men). The practice season runs from mid September to the end of April. Practice is on Thursday evenings from 8.00 onwards.

It’s good fun; it’s good exercise; it’s part of an ancient English tradition……
